Brief Introduction
From Nikko in continued to Kamakura which is located in south of Tokyo about 1 hour.in the past Lamakura is the centre of Kamakura Shogunate which built by Minamoto Yoritomo.same like other old cities in Japan in Kamakura we can see many temples .

1.Engakuji Temple

Built in 1282 by Hojo Tokimune to respect the fallen Japanese and Mongol soldiers who died in Mongol Invasion to Japan

This is an old temple was built in 1282 M by Hojo Tokimune to pay respect to the fallen soldiers from Japan and Mongols who died during Mongols invasion to Japan.this is one of Zen Temples in Kamakura.

How To Get there

Nikko –JR Nikko Line For Utsonomiya about 42 min arrive at Utsonomiya Station-Shinkansen Yamabiko 120 about 50 minute arrived at Tokyo Station-JR tokaido Line For Hiratsuka about 37 minute arrived at Totsuka station-JR Yokosuka Line for Zushi about 8 minute arrived at Kita Kamakura Station

Engakuji Temple is very close to Kita Kamakura Station just walk a while

From Enagkuji then I walked about 20 minute to Kenchoji temple.this temple is special because and the main Temples of Zen sect and have sub temples beside main temple

3.Hachimangu shrine

was built By Minamoto Yoriyoshi

 The next is Hachimangu shrine this temple was built by Minamoto yoriyoshi in 1063 later was enlarged and moved to this site by Minanmoto Yoritomo the founder of Kamakura Shogunate

4.Great Buddha (Daibutsu)

one of the tallest and biggest Buddha Statue in Japan

 Visiting Kamkura is not complete before visit Great Budha (Daibutsu) so after Visited Hachimangu shrine I took bus to Daibutsu.This statue represent Amidaba Buddha and stand in Kotokuin Temple ground because of Natural disaster since 1495 This big statue stand I open air

5.Hasedera Temple

The last tempe I visited in kamakura is hasedera temple.This temple is built for Jodo sect.the most famous statue in here is Kannon well known as Goddes of Mercy
