I visited Tanjung Putting National Park on April 18-20,2014 to get here I took flight from Soekarno Hatta Airport and arrived at Iskandar airport at Pangkalanbun City in Central Kalimantan Province.
From Pangkalanbun we took motorcycle to kumai harbor.kumai is main harbor everyday many ships come and left this harbor bring passengers and goods to their destination.there are more 50 klotok boat (klotok name from the sound boat produce) the most comfortable way for river cruise is by rent a bot whuch funtion like floating hotel this kind of boat can accommodate from 5 passengers to 20 passenger depend on the size the boat also has rooms ,toilet,kitchen,deck the boat also have cooker who will prepare the meals for the passangers.
we took 3 day 2 night trip by the boat we visited Tanjung Harapan, Pondok Tanggui dan Camp Leakey which is feeding satation is the place where we can see people feed orang utan.
along the river we can see orang utan,probiscis monkey (bekantan in Indonesia),monkey,birds,crocodilesand other.
