From Xian By Fast Train I arrived at Luoyang at night.Luoyang are another important city in the past.it was the capital city of 13 dynasties in China began from Xia Dynasty (21st-16th century BC).it is the proof how important role of Luoyang in the past even we can’t find palace remains in this city we can see other amazing building from the past in this city.

1.Longmen Grottoes
there are 3 important caves of Buddha statues in China fist is Longmen Grottoes,Yungang Grottoes and Mogao caves.i chose visited Longmen Grottoes first because it is closer from the city.Longmen Grottoes was built by Emperor Xiaowen of the Northern Wei Dynasty (386-534) at 493 when he moved his capital to Luoyang.longmen grottoes continue to bulid through many dynasties until Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127). According to calculation there are thousands of caves with thousands Buddha statues in this grottoes.from thousands of caves some important and most visited by tourists are Fengxian Temple, Wanfo Cave, Guyang Cave, Binyang Caves and Lotus Cave Transportation:

Take K53, K60, K67, K71, K81 or K99, and get off at Longmen Grottoes Station. Admission Fee:

Opening Hours: Februay 1 to March 31: sell tickets from 08:00 to 17:00 and closed at 18:00.
April 1 to October 7: sell tickets from 08:00 to 17:30 and closed at 18:30.
October 8 to 31: sell tickets from 08:00 to 17:00 and closed at 18:00.
November 1 to next January 31: sell tickets from 08:00 to 16:00 and closed at 17:00. sell tickets from 07:30 to 17:30 and closed at 19:00 during Luoyang Peony Culture Festival (Apr. 5 to May 5, Friday, Saturday and Sunday only), May Day (May 1 to 3) and National Day Holidays (Oct. 1 to 7).
2.Shaolin Temple
China martial art kungfu has spread across the world from all china kungfu branch Shaolin kung fu maybe the most famous.in Luoyang we can visit Saholin Kungfu school in Song Mountain.This temple also listed as UNESCO’s World Cultural & Natural Heritage List in 2010 when we there we can see Hall of Heavenly Kings (Tianwangdian), the Mahavira Hall (Daxiongbaodian), the Pagoda Forest it is a tomb complex for head monks of Shaolin temple since hundreds year ago, the Dharma Cave and the Martial Art Training Center.if we came in right time we can see disciples of shaolin practise martial arts at Temple grounds
From Luoyang:
Take regular bus for Xuchang / Xinmi from Luoyang Bus Station located close to Luoyang Railway Station. The bus stops by Shaolin Temple. It departs every 30 minutes from 05:20 to 15:30. Bus fare is CNY 24. Admission Fee: CNY 110 (including CNY 10 for electric bus)
